Jordan stared at the letter. "Games? I'm playing games?" she shrieked. Clearly Grant was more diluted about himself than she thought. She'd never done anything but give Grant her all. And the only reason she kept going back to her best friend was because he was the one always willing to pick up the pieces. The one telling her that Grant didn't deserve her. The one telling her not to go back to Grant. But she did. And now she hardly ever saw her friend. Because of Grant. Because she was terrified to be alone. So she stood in the dungeon hallway watching students go by, prepared to grab that sniveling, egotistical snot by his perfectly styled hair and yank into the empty dungeon classroom. He was the one playing games. The one breaking up with her. The one cheating on her. The one flirting with every girl that seemed to walk by. Even when he had his arm glued to her shoulders and he had the nerve to say she was playing games? Jordan was surprised she hadn't just be the snot out of him yet.
Crossing her arms across her chest, Jordan gave a sigh. Grant hadn't been like this before. No before, she was a princess. Up on a pedestal. He treated her like a queen. And then he dumped her. And Jordan came crawling back on her hands and knees begging for him to take her back. She'd turned into his toy. And yeah maybe she fought back a little. She was a little flirty towards her male classmates now. And she made a point when she was walking by him to talk loudly about Nathan Merrick. But mostly because she wanted him to hurt as bad as she had. To recognize that he was tugging on her heart strings and that they were going to snap. If she had really wanted to play dirty she would've told her dad. There may've been a honor code amongst staff but JD would've found something Grant did wrong and punish ten times harder than it was actually called for. But she hadn't. Jordan cared about Grant. Even if he did sometimes treat her like crap. Their relationship was like a wave. When it was bad, it was destruction and chaos. But when it was good, it was euphoric. The problem is neither of those areas lasted very long and it was beginning to make her head spin.
Then she saw it. That familiar boy who could fill her with rage and make her stomach fill with butterflies all at the same time. He said he didn't want to talk yet but Jordan was tired of living their relationship on his time. As soon as he walked by, she grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and dragged him into the abandoned classroom, slamming and locking the door behind herself. She turned to look out him with a fury she'd never experienced. She wasn't sad or upset. She wasn't even angry. She was bloody pissed off and Grant was now going to be on the other end.
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

The hallways happened to be filled. But he had no time to stop and chat with anybody. It was time for him to take a walk by himself. He could see that Jordan happened to be a little too obsessed with him, but then again he didn't blame her. Who didn't want him? Practically all of the young Slytherin girls had drooled over him. He felt as if he was walking in Draco Malfoy's shoes. A good friend of his cousin Daphne's. But that wasn't important right now. What was important was finding someone he could trust and confide in. Jordan was out of the question. He always watched her trail on off to a Slytherin boy named Nathan Merrick. Oh how he hated that boy. Always getting into the two's business. He had seen Jordan first, or so he had thought.
Turning down to the dungeons, Grant placed his hands into his pockets and began to proceed. It was nice to take a walk every once in a while to regain his humanity. Being cooped up in a school with thousand's of kids drove him crazy at times. Taking in a deep couple of breaths, Grant was grabbed by the collar of his shirt, pulling in in a whole different direction than he was supposed to go. "Let go of me!" He yelped, trying to pry the girls hand from his shirt. "If you wrinkle this, I will make sure of it that you can clean it." As soon as they came to a complete stop in an abandoned classroom, Grant looked over to his supposed kidnapper.
Shaking his head repetedly, Grant fixed the small wrinkles in his shirt and brushed off his sleeves. A small chuckle exscaped his lips as he looked to an angry Jordan. "I see you got my letter." Placing his hands back into his pockets, Grant made his way over towards the door and placed his hand on it. Indeed, she did just lock the two of them into that damp, cold, old classroom. But why? He told her what she had needed to do. Nathan was much more important than he was to her and he knew it. He could see it in her eyes when she would watch him pass by. And Grant had tried his best with her. But obviously she didn't want to take it.
"I would have expected you to be with your new toy. I'm sure I have gotten old to you." A light chuckle made its way from his mouth once again.

Jordan sighed angrily, "Are you seriously that insecure? Sweet Jesus, Grant!" she couldn't help herself. He was making himself an easy target, "If I wanted anyone else I would have them! I wouldn't have sent you that letter. And I wouldn't have dragged you in here. I want to know where we're at. 'Cause right now you're stupid little mind games are just making a stressful situation much more stressful. Not that you'd really care since I'm just a toy to you," he was pissing her off more and more and he didn't have to say anything. He just had to be there. Pretending like he had any understand about what her life was like now. But he didn't, Grant never showed any interest in her life. Just her.
"I don't care if you want to be with me or not. I just want an answer. I'm sick of sitting and wondering. I don't need your shite on top of everything else. And I can deal with this. So just tell me what you want. If you want me I'll stay. And if you don't, I'll leave. No questions asked. I'll just leave you alone. It'd be better that way anyways if I did," because I would punch you in your smug, gitty-like face, she added mentally. She was just angry. Grant had toyed with her to long. His ego and his passive-aggressive insecurities. It was making her crazy. Nathan didn't matter. Right now her best friend didn't matter. What mattered was fixing something, anything in her life.
"It's the only thing I need from you, Grant. Just...humor me," she chuckled lightly and shook her head, letting the mess of blond hair go flying, "Help me out. Just this once."

Grant sat there and listened to her pleads for mercy pretty much. He couldn't help but watch her and chuckle on the inside as she struggled to get things situated in her mind. Yes, Grant was someone who had enjoyed playing with girls minds. Especially Jordan's. There was just something about her that he had enjoyed immensely. She was everything he had wanted, but he knew it wasn't best to get too close to her. She was already clinging on for dear life to him already. So what if they did have that one, crazy romantic night together. It happened, and it was over with. Thinking it over again, Grant stopped and shook his head. That had to be the reason why she had stayed so close to him.
Biting his lower lip just a smidgen, Grant placed his hand on the side of her cheek. Okay, so he did feel a little bit sorry for her but what was he to do. He was still wanting to go out and have fun. Explore with more girls around the school and not get caught. It was the way he happened to be. No one, nor nothing could change him. Or so he had thought. "Stop, and calm down." His giant blue eyes focused on hers as he inched closer to her. Grant could tell she had still wanted to hold onto him. And in a way, he wanted to hold onto her. But that wasn't going to happen either. He had his eye's focused on another blond Gryffindor that evening. Breaking hearts was something he did. But in a weird way, he kept finding himself making his way back to Jordan.
A shit eating grin poured across his face as he pulled her into his chest. "You need to just breath. You know I want something of us, but you need to stop talking to that Nathan boy you happen to be with every day." It was true. No matter where Jordan had went, the boy happened to be following right behind her. And honestly, that angered Grant even more. She was with him first. Her innocence was his, not Nathan's. Pushing her face back to look at his, he gently kissed her lips. "I'll be sure to keep you posted on my answer. But as of right now, consider yourself mine." Making his way to the door, Grant unlocked it himself and made his way out. "I'll be seeing you later then? In the corridor?" An evil grin made its way out yet again.

"I've talked to Nathan once recently, Grant. But that's not the point. The point is it can't work like this anymore," Jordan sighed, pressing her index finger to her temple, "No more stupid games. If you want me, I'm yours. And if you don't..." Jordan couldn't help but chuckle lightly at the thought crossing her mind, "Well, my innocence isn't exactly in existence anymore so it's not like I've get anything to lose moving onto well," she flipped her hand, "Whoever's out there." Okay, so maybe insinuating that she would be kind of a whore was a bad idea. But it just felt so good to be the bad guy. Who cared what Grant thought of her. She wasn't that into him, really. But he was hot. And most girls wanted him. And having him, well, that was a sign of success. Not to mention he was really hot.
"I mean," her smile and laugh finally reached her eyes, as her sadistic and trouble making nature seemed to bubble over, "I'm not a bad looking girl. Like I've already said I've got nothing to lose. Not to mention I'm Professor Wakes daughter. Now who doesn't want to have a little dirty, naughty fun with the Professor's daughter. That's bragging rights, right there," she couldn't help the almost hysterical laughter coming from her petite frame now, "Grant, I'm not naive. If I look, I'll find it. I don't need you. I can be yours if you want. But it's no skin of my back if I'm not."
Now she was just having fun. But it felt good. She didn't feel powerless anymore. Grant was losing his power over her bit by bit as her words began to form. What started as a way to hurt him was slowly becoming real power and real meaning. She didn't need Grant. She chose to have him in her life. And she was giving him the power to still be a part of it. Jordan cared about Grant and in time, if their relationship went that way, might even grow to love him. But right now...he was kind of her little toy. And it felt amazing.

Grant listened to ramble on about bragging rights, and how anyone would be more than happy to have her as a one night stand. Well, that's how it had sounded to him at least. But he wasn't worried. No matter what had happened between the two of them, she was always the one to come back. It didn't matter how harsh their fights were. Shaking his head repeatedly, Grant stood still in front of the deserted classroom door. "Whatever you say, Jordan. So what if you can have whomever you want. I can also, and I know for a fact it bothers you knowing that I have my... well, you know where I'm going with this one." A big shit eating grin smeared across his face as he began to take off.
Slicking his hair back with his hand, he stopped in place and turned back. "Oh, and lest we not forget Nathan has nothing on me when it comes to you. I can promise you that." With a wave of his hand he began to walk yet again. He said all he needed to with her. "I will be seeing you later, I'm sure." Fixing his robe, he made his way down the hall and out of the dungeons. 'Why must she be so infatuated with me liking her?' He thought to himself, making it to the lights. There in front of him stood a few of his good buddy's. All laughing over something. Not that he had really cared to join in, but he did.
Okay, so maybe Jordan had happened to be on his mind. But there was nothing he could do. If they did end up getting back together, he feared the thought of her cheating. Was him wanting to be somewhat of a ruler not good enough for her? Couldn't be. He thought. It was that Nathan boy that stood in his way. And putting an easy end to it was all he could do. Clenching his fist a little, he watched as a blond fifth year made her way past him. Her lovely green eyes focused on him and him only. Finally. He was able to get Jordan off of his mind. At least for a good half hour. With a small chuckle, Grant made his way in on her. Then, it wasn't the same. "Grant Buckley." He introduced himself to the giggly blond.
