In the year eighteen sixty-four, Mystic Falls, Virginia was plagued with creatures of the night, vampires. The Founders Council quickly got caught onto what was going on. One faithful night, they made there move and miraculously caught all the vampires in town with the help of Johnathan Gilbert's vampire finding invention. Once the vampires were caught, they were transported to the local church. After the vampires were all trapped in the church, they The Founding Families set it on fire. Little did they know that Damon convinced Emily, a witch, to cast a spell on the church to protect the vampires in a tomb under the church.
Fast forward to two thousand ten, the tomb has been opened and vampires are walking among the people of Mystic Falls once again. More and more bodies drained of blood are piling up and animal attacks are on the rise. Their presence are becoming very pronounced but they don't seem to care. Most of the vampires feel that Mystic Falls is their town and are willing to do anything to get it back. However, the Founding Council is very much aware of the vampires are are killing them one by one, showing no mercy. What the Founding Council is unaware of is that vampires aren't the only supernatural things roaming the small town. Along with vampires, there are witches and werewolves who have managed to live a little more inconspicuously then the vampires.
Now a war is erupting between all the supernatural creatures in Mystic Falls and coming to a boiling point. The vampires are killing everything in their way without a second thought, the witches are trying to protect their own by any means necessary, and the werewolves are instinctively going after the vampires. On top of that, humans are becoming less oblivious to what's going on and are taking charge. The Founder's Council just recently used a device to wipe out all of the vampires but also managed to kill a few werewolves as well. There are fewer supernatural creatures going bump in the night now but still enough to make the knowing townspeople of Mystic Falls afraid.
Humanity is hanging by a thread. So it's your turn to choose, who will you stand with?
