Jordan sat in front of the tree, staring at the potions book in front of her. Cigarette hanging out her darkly painted lips with a look of confusion on her face. She'd read the same page about five or six times now and she still didn't understand it. Granted it was dry material. And she'd only been skimming it. But it just didn't make sense to her. And with Gwen being so much a part of her life you'd think she would.
"This doesn't make any sense," she mumbled, lighting up the cigarette she'd bummed from the Gryffindor boy in the courtyard. She didn't know his name and she didn't very well care but they had a mutual bumming arrangemnt that had started this year in fact. Which further lead to explain why she was so far from the castle by the Whomping Willow. It was here free period and she had felt like getting some homework done and releaving some stress. It really just turned into being aggravated and confused. She took a deep drag of the cigarette and proceded to attempt to read the page once more, praying she didn't get caught.

═ ═ Lux was walking the grounds bored out of her mind, she was carrying her bag which had her books in it. She was planning on finding a place to work on her Defense homework. She was having to write an essay on the proper defense against... ah crap she forgot the rest. She shook her head as she felt stupid for forgetting the assignment title. She knew she had it wrote down somewhere but she wasn't sure where. Did I stick it in my Defense book? As she went though a list she saw someone from her house. She sighed as she saw the girl was smoking. What was it with people and smoking. Do they want to shorten their life span?
She shook her head once more before she spotted what tree she was near. She rose her eyebrows as she saw the tree was trying to hit her. Lux walked over to her, "You know, I think you are making that tree mad, it's trying to hit you." If that were Lux she would be as far from the tree as possible. Though she had to admit the girl had guts to be that close to the Whomping Willow. words:203 tags:Jordan notes:

She looked at the girl with scrutinizing eyes. She didn't seem like a snitch. Granted they came in all shapes and sizes. So Jordan wasn't completely prepared to trust her. "It can try. My dad showed me this spot when he started working here. It cn't reach. None of it's branches are long enough or bend just right. Right in this general area," she motioned to the area where she sat nd where the girl stood, "Is what I like to call the safe zone. So I come here. When I don't really like the idea of being found." She gave the girl a smile to show she wasn't bothered by her prescence but more so to get the point across that teacher's weren't really people she wanted to be seen by right now. "I feel bad. I don't recognize you. Which isn't that surprising. It's more embarrassing for me normally. Being seeker and all I'm sort of well known," she gave a sheepish smile, closed her book and held out her hand, "I'll introduce myself anyways. I'm Jordan."

“I only know Sam from the team, I don’t really pay that much attention to the game. I don’t really understand it, which saddened my dad, he played on his team.” A sad yet happy demeanor went across the girl. Remembering things like that made her happy but sad at the same time. She touched the silver star that was hanging from a chain around her neck. “It’s sad that he didn’t get to tell me more about it, he died, you see? In the Muggle’s war.” She didn’t know why she was telling the girl all that, Lux had just met her.
When the girl held out her hand and introduced herself she took it and shook it. “I’m Lux.” She almost winced when she mentioned her own name as she was worried that the girl might say something about the rumors going around. She bit her lower lip before sitting down, “hope you don’t mind if I sit with you.” She smiled nervously, she didn’t know many people anymore, not since her old friends started that rumor. I really hope she doesn’t know anything about that rumor going around. words:201 tags:Jordan notes:Sorry for the delay and if you want Jordan can know about the rumor.

"Oh, please do," Jordan replied with a smile, closing her book and moving her bag onto her lap so the girl could sit, "I'm sorry about your dad. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I lost mine. He's kinda all I got in the actual parenting area," Jordan stated, trying not to sound like she was better than the girl. Her relationship with her father took a long time to explain. And Jordan really didn't want to deal with any of that right now. "I've heard your name before. In passing," Jordan gave the girl a smile and tried to blow the smoke away from the girl, "Whatever they're saying. I don't know it. I think gossip is really stupid. If you've got issues just say it to the person's face, y'know? Anyone who talks behind someone's back is a coward." This girl seemed so uneasy. And Jordan didn't want her to be. Jordan liked making people feel comfortable around her and making friends with others. Especially when they seemed like they needed it. And by the way this girl was acting it seemed like she did.
