Kiki collapsed, laying on the long coffee table that seperated the two bright red couches in the corner of the cafe. It was a low standing table and perfect for laying on. Especially after closing Kiki had found. After scrubbing the tables, sorting the till, making sure the trash was taken out, and any number of other tasks that were both magical or not she was always tired. She'd take a break on the table and probably apparate home. It really depened on Aiden.
She smiled at the thought of her husband as she unclipped her hair and let it fan out like a halo around her head as she lay on the table. He was the only Slytherin who had ever been nice to her, which she had found surprising at the time. And everything with Aidan just seemed to get better. She lifted her hand, bringing the glittering ring into her view causing her smile to broaden into a full grin. It seemed strange to her. They'd been together 5 years and married for 3 of it. And truth be told it was the happiest Kiki had ever been. She had a cafe. A loving, beautiful, fantastic, amazing- she had a loving husband. And she'd grown out of the awkwardness of her youth.
The crackling fire at the end of the table warmed her now onl sock clad feet as she stared at the ring with a twinkle in her eye. If someone had told her during school that one day she'd be married to the gorgeous and much saut after Aidan Warrington she wouldn't have ever believed them. But here she was. Sighing lightly, she settled against the table, closing her eyes lightly as she drifted down memory lane. [/blockquote]

Aidan had been tending to some things out back (manly things, if you must know). But, now that those (manly things) were done, he could head back inside to see his beautiful, wonderful, amazing Kiki.
He broke into a broad grin just thinking about her. True, he had only been out back for a few minutes, but well, he was still looking forward to seeing her again.
She always had that affect on him; no matter how long they'd been apart, seeing her again was one of the best things in the world.
Making his way back inside, he smirked as he saw where Kiki was. She was in the perfect place for him to sneak up on her. And sneak up on her he did.
Instead of saying anything, though, while she was busy admiring the ring he'd bought her (he had good taste, he must admit), he put his hands over her eyes and kissed her soundly. She may have been down memory lane, but he was firmly in the present, at the moment, happily married with no intentions to ever be otherwise.

Kiki gave a surprised squeal as her huband's eyes covered her eyes and kissed her. She wasted no time in responding to the kiss with vigor before pulling away and staring into his blue eyes. God were they intoxicating! "Just because we're married doesn't mean you get to give me heartattacks," she chuckled, looking up at him (something she didn't get to do often being an inch taller than him, sometimes three depending on if she was wearing heels or not) with a bright grin and eyes full of adoration and love.
Aidan had seemed like an impossible goal when they were in school. They wewre good friends but she...well she was the pretty girl's not so attractive friend. And Aidan always had the best flirting with him. So having him had not onl been an accomplishment (both of her feelings and of how pretty girls didn't always win) and kind of a smack in the face to all the pretty girls she had gone to school with. But that didn't matter right now. Now she was a happily married woman in the cafe she owned with her husband. And nothing could touch that. [/blockquote]

At her words, Aidan smiled innocently and batted his eyes at his wife. "Who, me? Give you heartattacks? Why, I would never!" he grinned. "Besides, then you might die and I would be distraught." He really would, though, but as Kiki wasn't going to be dying any time soon, he didn't have to worry about that for a while.
Aidan looked over his wife, his own eyes full of adoration. "You're so amazing, Kiki," he whispered, running a hand through her hair.
If he had known what she was thinking about, he would have laughed out loud. True, there had been girls flirting with him, but he'd always been more interested in Kiki than he had those other girls. Kiki was intelligent and not afraid to show it. That was one of the things he loved about her; she was almost always willing to speak her mind, especially when it came to things that she knew she was right about.
"Ready to go home, sweetheart?" he asked, smiling tenderly at the woman he loved. Pretty much everything was perfect. And it was going to stay that way for quite some time, if he had anything to say about it.

"My husband, always the dramatic," she sighed with a smile, grinning up at him with bright eyes. They'd been together for a while now, yes. But the adoration, the infatuation, how amorous he could make her, it never changed. It could still feel like two kids, just out of school with only a new relationship and some pocket cash to rely on. But they had built up, they had become more. And she never failed to remember that. She could only fall more and more in love with her husband.
"I don't know. I rather quite like looking up at your brilliant blue eyes. It's not an experience I have often," she gave a light laugh at her joke before placing a kiss on the tip of his nose, "And its quite enjoyable if I do say so myself." It was true, to a certain extent. Kiki quite rather enjoyed any moment she spent with the man in front of her. [/blockquote]

"Who, me?" he asked, feigning innocence. "Me, dramatic? Surely you jest, my dearest!" Aidan exclaimed with a smirk. Yes, it was true, he had a bit of a flare for the dramatics, but well, Kiki wasn't exactly complaining.
And then she commented about not being able to look up into his eyes, and he stuck out his tongue at her. "Not my fault I wasn't blessed with height to go with my dashing good looks and charm," he laughed.
They would never stop having fun teasing and joking with one another. And they knew when to stop, too, which was something most people didn't know. Then again, they knew each other quite well by now.
"So, dearest," Aidan smiled again. "Your birthday is coming up soon; what do you want this year?" He already had some ideas of what he was going to be getting her, but it never hurt to have more ideas.

Aidan was...well, he was Aidan. And he always made her laugh. This time was no exception. A smile split her and she couldn't help pulling him down for another quick kiss. He really was her best friend and it was moments like these that reminded her why she married him. And then he asked about her birthday. With work and everything going on she hadn't really had time to think about it. Granted, Aidan was part of that distraction.
"Can I have a pony?" she asked childishly, spinning so she sat on the table, legs planted on the ground at the side of it. Her shoes were long forgotten and the cold of the ground caused her to jump a little, "Or heated floors for the cafe. Or a puppy. Oh!! I know! I want four large men who carry me on this bed everywhere so I don't have to walk." Kiki wasn't really paying attention to the words coming out of her mouth. She never really did with Aidan. He had seen her at her best, her worst, and more importantly, her drunkest so whatever she did or said was unlikely to have an affect on him. "I don't know Aidan. You know I'm no good at this." She wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her nose in his stomach with mock embarrassment. [/blockquote]

Well, Aidan was certainly not about to complain about that kiss. Smiling against her lips, he couldn't help but tangle a hand in her hair, content to simply continue kissing her forever. But they did have to breathe sooner or later, unfortunately, and this time came all too soon.
When they'd drawn apart for breath, he smirked at her, already knowing perfectly well what he was getting her for her birthday. He couldn't exactly say "a child," though; that was a decision they would definitely have to make together, but he could get her a puppy!
At her comment about having four large men around to carry her everywhere, he just laughed. "My dearest Kiki, you just want to make me jealous of those four large men, don't you?" he smirked at her.
And without further ado, once she'd buried her nose in his stomach, he scooped her into his arms, bridal style, and kissed her soundly.
"Well, love, I already know what I'm getting you. I just like to hear you talk," he laughed. He would never get tired of spending time with his wonderful wife, that much was certain.
