Recently, Eloise had had quite the busy schedule; she was keeping up with her regular patients and occasionally taking on some new ones. One of the patients she had had for a while had owled her a bit ago, asking for an appointment.
And so, Ellie had accommodated Ras by giving her the earliest open appointment she'd had. Even though she as only twenty, Rasalas Jones had been coming to see Eloise for several years. She'd grown up in an adopted family, and she had opted to seek psychiatric help herself as opposed to waiting until she actually needed it.
It was usually better if someone decided to seek her out as opposed to pretty much being assigned a psychiatrist. Either way, whether her patients came of their own free will or otherwise, Ellie did her very best to make them feel at home.
Let's see, it was Rasalas Jones this afternoon. Quickly taking a peek in Ras's file, Ellie saw one of her notes that showed the girl was more comfortable in Muggle clothing.
Slipping into a pair of jeans and a button-down shirt, Eloise sat at her desk to review Miss Jones' file.
Her father had died when she was very young (she had never known him), and her mother left her somewhere in the streets. The baby had been taken to a Muggle orphanage, and she had been adopted by a couple who had a son who was seven years older than she. Rasalas and her adoptive brother had both attended Hogwarts, seven years apart.
The young woman had been Sorted into Slytherin, and she had graduated about three years ago.
She had begun to talk about her biological family, a family she had just recently discovered.
Perhaps that was what she wanted to talk about today, but they would just have to see. Whatever it was Ras had on her mind, Eloise would do her very best to talk her through it.
With a glance at her clock, she stretched momentarily. Ras was due for her appointment in about twenty minutes, and Ellie had not known her to be late yet.
