It was time to move on. Persephone had pined for Iasan long enough. Yes, she'd loved him, yes, he'd wanted to propose to her, but she'd broken up with him. And then he'd hurt her. He'd hurt her deeply. She had tried to do the best thing for both of them by ending things, but apparently, it hadn't worked.
Even though she'd broken up with him, Persephone had still cared for the Gryffindor. She knew she needed to talk to someone about all of this; she was having a hard time dealing with everything herself.
And so, she'd done what many teenage girls before her had done: she'd talked to her older sister.
Luna was in a happy, healthy relationship with Ron Weasley, and to Persephone, she was one of the only people she could go to without worrying that she would make fun of her or spread rumors about the school.
Her sister was still one of her best friends. That hadn't always been the case, but now, Persephone could go to Luna with pretty much anything.
The older Lovegood girl had known that her younger sister needed someone to hold her while she cried all of her love, anger, bitterness, and anything else she felt towards Iasan out. It had helped immensely.
At this point, Persephone could honestly say that she was ready to move on. She just hoped that that really was the case.
